Day 34 – A Year of Writing

Another quiet Monday afternoon helps me relax from the stresses of applying for jobs. I’ve somewhat neglected writing my article and really need to get back on it. However, today is just about sending in a few applications and maybe going for a walk. Colder weather always leaves me somewhat sleepy. I just want to sit in a comfortable place, read or watch something, and have some sort of warm beverage -usually coffee- to drink.

On Fridays I usually buy a dollar scratch-off lottery ticket, just for fun. I forgot to do that this past Friday and might take a walk down to the local convenience store to grab one today. Really, this all depends on how productive I’m feeling (AKA, do I want to put my boots on?). The unemployed life is stressful when looking for a job, but I do believe I need to appreciate have less responsibilities. I’m fortunate enough that I’m in a place where I can afford to take some time off, and I suggest that anyone else who is looking for a job take the time to appreciate not having one as well.
